Experimenting with the idea of stitch

I love working with the sewing machine and using machine stitched drawing in my work. I wanted to explore using more as a drawing devise and as a way to start exploring ways to extend the books further by adding machine stitched imagery to the threads.

Drawings and Mixed media work

Drawing is a massive part fo my practice and helps me find the inspiration and the imagery to make the books. I have drawn my inspiration from my childhood memories as a starting point and then developed it into mixed media work. I find that playing with different materials helps me develop my ideas and to help me to start thinking in three dimensional terms.
