exploring colour and acrylic

I love coloured acrylic jewellery so decided to explore the possibilites of making my own. Still looking at pairs of animals a gave my brief a new twist by adding a quirky line made from acrylics as a enjoyable experiment with the potential to go further.

Further 'two by two" wearables

After experimenting an testing different materials I felt it was best to start refining some of my design ideas and to start experimenting further with etching metal and with working with silver. I felt that the animals taking the actual shape of the bangle and the ring really started to capture the essence of the animal moving as if walking to the ark.

The start of my Noah's Ark Collection

Looking at my research into the children's version of my Noah's Ark story, I started to experiment with the idea of having pairs of animals on rings as a way to show off the pairs of animals what where on the boat during the 40 days of rain.
